The camp will take place at the Arts Center and the Hart Cluett Museum and include walking tours and a look at behind the scenes collections. You will learn historical thinking skills and make art inspired by the people, places and stories of Troy.

Action Camp is a fun interactive camp that partakes in team building activities, a fun variety of upbeat games and making some magical arts and crafts. Here at Action Camp we welcome all kids from ages 4-12 to join in on the adventures! We have an action packed day planned for you including bounce time on our bounce houses, field time on our indoor and outdoor areas and more. All campers will receive two snacks and a lunch that varies everyday along with some long lasting memories.

In this theatre arts exploration, you will get to write, design, and perform their own play! Learn about story structure, character design, music, costumes, scenery, lighting, and more in our state-of-the-art black box theatre. You will develop your stage presence and confidence through improv, games, exercises, and lessons in the basics of performing arts, music, and movement, culminating in a play of your own design on the last day of camp (which family and friends are encouraged to attend).

Focusing on photography concepts and techniques, you will learn the arts and science of digital photography, exploring the camera and how it works, lighting and studio techniques, digital image processing, and printing. You will take several walking trips in Downtown Troy for inspiration. These trips will help with framing, lighting, and composition. You will also learn to discuss, critique, and curate images. You may bring their own camera, or use the DLSR cameras from our Digital Arts Studio.

This is a 6-day adventure week in the Adirondacks for boys and girls from 12 to 16 years old. It includes camping, rock climbing, hiking a mountain and a backcountry canoe trip.
