Calling young artists who love crafting and creating! This one is just right for you! We'll paint, sculpt, draw and collage. We'll start inside in the art studio and then go outside to explore some more. What will you create? What will you choose to do?

Theme: Creating Houses
We'll use various versions of the classic story The Three Little Pigs and other books that illustrate the inside and outside of homes as a springboard for our art and creative play this week. Building houses and structures of various materials will challenge our creativity and problem solving skills. What will your houses look like?

July 23rd, 24th and 25th
Theme: Kids Can Paint
We'll be crafting with different paint mediums this week. Exploring different painting techniques on a variety of surfaces. Dress for a mess! We can't wait to see what you will create!

Let's be inspired by the work of O'keefe, Picasso, Kandinsky, and others to create some unique art of our own.

Theme: Bakery Shop
What's baking up in our dramatic play area? Help us make some cool props for our bakery shop. Then, let's create miniature Bakery Shops that can be used at home for play and display. Bring your imagination! We can even create some treats in our outside mud kitchen! (This is not a cooking class)

So many artists and illustrators have used the natural form of trees to inspire their work. They come in many shapes and sizes. We'll work with a variety of loose parts and craft supplies to explore trees and tree parts in our art projects this week.
