Emma Willard School

Emma Willard School is a historic, inclusive, and prestigious private boarding and day school for girls, grades nine to 12. Founded in 1814 by Emma Hart Willard, it was the first school of higher learning for young women in the United States and remains a trailblazer in girls’ education. We challenge girls to take responsibility for developing their minds and their hearts to the fullest and putting their talents to good purpose. We also host GirlSummer, Emma’s signature summer program, offers an enriching, personalized, and fun two-week summer experience for campers entering 2nd-9th grades.

Ramapo for Children

Our work is built on the simple but powerful belief that all young people want the same things: to learn, to feel valued, and to experience success. Ramapo’s mission is to keep young people from being relegated to the margins of their schools, programs, families, or communities because of challenging behaviors, cognitive disabilities, or other differences. We do this by offering the adults in their lives a new lens through which to view challenging behaviors, and presenting a set of techniques and tools that, when mastered, enable adults to meet children’s needs and create nurturing environments in which all children can thrive. Ramapo offers both direct-service and professional development programming to serve the diverse needs of families, educators, and institutions.
