St. Stephen's Pre-K Academy

The St. Stephen’s Pre-K Academy program provides children of all faiths the opportunity to learn with other children of the same age and learn through their play, daily experiences, & teacher instruction. Throughout the school day, the children will learn developmentally, age appropriate and self help skills while playing games, doing art projects, experimenting with music, listening to stories, playing indoor and outdoor activities, and going on field trips to learn about their community. As a part of all of our programs we will be learning a variety of Bible stories through songs, crafts, and activities. We also teach according to NY State Pre-K educational standards, so all of our students will be ready for kindergarten. A child’s preschool experience is often their first exposure to a school setting. It’s important that their experience is a positive one and that the child feels safe. Our preschool will offer them independence and will allow them to comprehend, and also creatively express their ideas and feelings. Their first experience in a school setting should be enjoyable.
