Annual event celebrating art and art education along Jay & Franklin streets, in Jay Square and in the area around Schenectady's City Hall.
For activities and entertainment schedules go to www.kidsartsfestivalschenectady.com.
While the main goal of the 32nd anniversary festival is for kids of all ages to have meaningful interactions with sculptors, painters, musicians, weavers, and folklore artists, a secondary goal has become to create public art. One of this year’s community-based participatory projects will have people creating flowers out of recycled objects to beautify the area around Jay Square.
The festival will be outdoors rain or shine June 6, while “Moulin Rouge” takes over Proctors at 432 State St.at 2 p.m. that day.
