Albany Pine Bush Preserve & Discovery Center

We offer education programs for learners of all ages. Our programs are Pine Bush focused, aligned with learning standards, and incorporate best practices in education and interpretation. We offer programs for families, adults, and groups including school groups of all ages, from pre-school to college and everything in between. Programs include hikes, lectures and interactive presentations on a variety of subjects including history, plants, animals and geology.

Omega Family Week during the summer includes workshops for adults and kids camps that run concurrently. Meals, community gatherings, and evening entertainment are enjoyed together outside of the classroom.

Peaceful Acres Horses

Individual or group classes that partner participants with a "buddy" horse or donkey in guided ground-work and nature-based specialized sessions to improve self-esteem, leadership skills and social, emotional and physical wellbeing.

Summer Programs like Nature Study (K-5), Ecological Explorations (6-8), and Wildlife Ecology Research Day Program (9-12) provide unique field-based learning experiences by giving students the opportunity to explore nature, ask questions, and carry out research projects while learning about the various facets of field biology.
