Friede and Harry DeMarlo toured the globe between 1910 and 1928 performing contortionist and trapeze acts. Their most famous act was titled, “A Frog’s Paradise”, which consisted of the couple dressed in frog costumes contorting their bodies into reptilian poses. Join Dr. Jennifer Lemak, chief curator of history, as she discusses the DeMarlos' extraordinary lives based on collections in the NYS Museum. Spoiler Alert: Even their dogs were in on the act!
