The Shaker Heritage Society offers programming and events for all ages and educates visitors about the history and influence of the Shakers. The site itself is practically an oasis near the Albany Airport. Our grounds are open daily from dawn until dusk. Visitors can just enjoy the landscape and historic setting, walk to the nearby Ann Lee Pond Nature preserve, and picnic on the grounds. The museum is open mid-March through mid-December and sponsors a number of programs and tours.

The Shaker Heritage Society works to preserve the site of America's first Shaker settlement, founded in 1776. Explore our historic Meeting House and wander the grounds of the Church Family, including Ann Lee Pond, and be sure to visit our Museum Shop! Our Museum and Shop hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 10 AM to 4 PM. Our grounds are open daily from dawn until dusk. We offer a variety of events and programs throughout the year, from our outdoor Craft Fairs in the summer and fall to our Holiday Market in the winter, as well as theatrical performances, concerts, workshops, and more.
