Rockin' Around the Wall Dance Workshop

Dancers use a lot of the same skill sets as Rock Climbers, and just in time for the Winter Holiday Season, House of Sport Latham, has partnered with amazing Choreographer and Artistic Director of NACRE Dance Group, Beth Fecteau, to facilitate an upcoming workshop that focus's on building core strength and testing dancer’s limitations on our RockWall.
Beth Fecteau, Artistic Director of NACRE Dance Group, has a well-rounded background involving dance and ballet. Beth is currently an instructor for the renowned Saratoga City Ballet. She has performed with the New Jersey Ballet, Towson Dance Ensemble, Margaret Wagner and Dancers, Maude Baum and Company and The Isadora Duncan Dance Institute. She will be pairing with Zack Ebert, our RockWall Lead, as a co-instructor for the clinic.
Athletes can also be part of a special performance of our own version of ‘The Nutcracker’ featured on our RockWall. Our Nutcracker Belay (Ballet) and RockWall performance will take place on December 7th, 2023. This workshop will be a pre-lude to help promote the performance of ‘The Nutcracker’ taking place at The Egg in Albany, NY in December.
Wednesday 11/8/2023 (ages 8-15 year olds) 6pm-730pm
Before your climb:
- Please ensure waiver is completed before arrival, or with teammate at the climbing wall.
- Climbing shoes are required to use the wall. Rental shoes are provided as part of the climbing fee or you are welcome to bring your own.
- Climbers must have socks and shorts or pants.
- Please do not put on climbing shoes or harness until instructed by a Teammate.
