What our organization offers:
Ages for which our activities are most appropriate:
We are a small community school in Loudonville, NY. We accept children ages 2-4 years old.

Peek-A-Boo Preschool focuses on the following areas: · Independence — Children learn to put on their own coats, prepare their own snacks, clean and organize toys, go to the bathroom, clean up after themselves, and more!. · Sensory awareness education — Ensuring children use all five senses to learn is one of our goals. Weather its walking the balance beam in our gross motor room or exploring beads in our sensory bins, the kids are exposed to a multitude of sensory and hands on opportunities daily · Language arts — Children are encouraged to express themselves verbally and in print. We teach tracing and letter recognition as a precursor to reading, spelling, grammar, and handwriting skills. · Mathematics and geometry — Children learn about numbers, patterns, counting, and shapes through hands-on techniques, play, and song. · Creative Play – Kids learn through play….period! Preschool is a time to make friends, explore, role play, imitate, build, and more! Our Dramatic Play Area, Block Center, Puzzle Center, and Cars center are among some of our many creative play areas · Circle Time- Children learn so many skills during our group circle time. Exposure to letters, colors, shapes, the calendar, weather, and more! · Music – We are a musical school! Kids learn so much through music and movement. We love to sing, dance, and use instruments every day. Our kids enjoy 4-8 educational songs per day at Peek-A-Boo Preschool · Theme Time - We have 2-3 themes a month generally. We do different activities based off these themes. February for example we do a lot of activities and read alouds based off love and friendship as that is our theme. In September we read and do activities about apples, Pumpkins, and fall followed by a field trip to a local farm. All themes are sent home on our monthly school calendar. All the above areas are tied together in complementary ways. Toys and other developmentally appropriate learning materials are laid out in the classroom so a child can choose different activities daily. Options like books, puzzles games, clay, sensory table, art projects, blocks and more! While kids navigate through the different activities, teachers pull kids to work with children as a small group and one on one Peek-A-Boo Preschool believes children will learn at his or her own pace. We group kids according their skill level and not their age. We also do not RUSH the potty training process. Kids are not required to be fully potty trained to attend Peek-A-Boo Preschool. We do ask that kids are emerging in the potty training process at home while they attend.
