Walk the nature trail, see birds of prey, learn about nature and gardening, hot chocolate and cookies, too!

_ Starting promptly at 4:00, take a Guided Tour of the Nature Trail. Tours will continue as long
as there is adequate daylight.
_ Meet CMOST (Children’s Museum of Science and Technology) educator and animal specialist,
Dawn Baldwin, to learn the value and importance of Nature Education through seeing
and touching actual animal artifacts .
_ Explore Gardening with a Cornell Cooperative Extension master gardener.
_ See Live Birds of Prey and learn interesting facts about these species from Joyce Perry of
Whispering Willow Wild Care. She will share 3 birds with us - the big Barren Owl "Ophelia,"
a Castrol Hawk, and a Screech Owl.
_ Bring a clear plastic 2 liter soda or juice bottle with cap and we’ll show you how to Make Your Own
Solar Greenhouse Science Project (while supplies last).
_ Learn about Birchwood’s original Nature Park, which was
built in 1958. It included a nature trail, forest classroom,
a greenhouse, and even an aquarium! Then, find out
details on the New 21st Century Birchwood Nature Park
that we hope to create.
First 50 kids in attendance receive a Stewart’s Shop single scoop gift card!
