Located in Southern Rensselaer County, New York, about 15 miles southeast of Albany, the small village of Nassau is a slice of "small town America." Less than a square mile in size, with about 1600 residents, Nassau lies on US Route 20, the old Boston Post Road. Since the late 1980's a group of volunteer residents and friends have worked to improve the quality of life by organizing and hosting free community events, maintaining seasonal plantings in public spaces and communicating with each other through a printed newsletter called "The Village Green." This website marks a step into the future with expanded coverage, photos and much more.
