Junior Birders - Albany Pine Bush Preserve & Discovery Center
Want to get into birding, but don’t know where to start? Come explore the Yellow Trail at Karner Barrens as we walk through the preserve and look for birds! Join us this morning to learn how to use binoculars and identify birds by sight and sound. We will be hiking 2.6 miles through various habitats and over rolling, sometimes steep, terrain to search for birds of all shapes and sizes, and practice listening for and recognizing bird calls. We’ll slow down -pausing frequently to listen and look for birds and observe their activities! We will have binoculars and field guides to help us identify any birds we may encounter! This program will meet inside the Discovery Center.
