Free Trial Class- Movement Class
*The event has already taken place on this date: Wed, 11/07/2018
Nursery rhymes and books come alive to music as your child co-creates and acts out the story! In these fun-filled movement classes, children will warm up their bodies and learn specific themes to help with the stories throughout the class.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
Story Dance Studios provides a movement based program for children that combines story-telling with movement and music. In our classes, children will explore ways to move their bodies to music. We will use story-telling as a way to create movement and express ourselves. The focus will be on the development of motor skills, musical awareness and a child’s natural creativity.
In these fun-filled classes, children will warm up their bodies and learn specific themes to help with the stories throughout the class. For example, we may talk about different pathways and then the stories would reinforce the lesson. Or we may talk about different emotions and then listen to music that would sound happy, silly or exciting and move like the music.
