The Esperance Historical Society was founded in 1969 and one-year later the museum opened its doors in the former village one-room schoolhouse. The museum displays artifacts, photographs, old farm equipment and other items that reveal the story of a rural upstate New York village centered on agriculture and trade along the Great Western Turnpike.
