ECEC is a private, nonprofit preschool approved by the NYS Education Department, the Department of Health and the NYS Office of Children and Family Services. ECEC provides Early Intervention Services, Family Services and has an inclusive, center-based program. Our center-based program provides enriched play environments in self-contained classrooms as well as integrated classrooms. Children are exposed to a variety of activities appropriate to their developmental level.
An important goal of the classroom program is to meet each child’s needs within the least restrictive environment. Therefore, whenever possible, special needs children are integrated into classrooms with non-disabled peers. The children in our integrated classroom learn about letters, numbers, shapes, colors and many other skills and concepts so they are well prepared for kindergarten! All of the children work and play together, and they learn that every child is special and valuable in their own unique way!
