Kids in grades K-5 can explore the creative, artistic, and STEM curious sides of themselves in this after school program. Each month there are four stations with new and different activities staffed by helpful teen volunteers! This month's activities are about lights and shadows!
Engaging in arts, crafts, and STEM activities can improve a child’s fine motor skills and enhance their creative problem-solving abilities. Activities like cutting, gluing, painting, and drawing can help children develop better coordination and dexterity while creating three dimensional objects can improve visual-spatial skills. Additionally, the unique set up of this program facilitates communication between elementary students and high school students, giving younger students the chance to practice social skills, take turns, and work together with their older peers.
