Community Conversation: Restorative Justice
*The event has already taken place on this date: Mon, 05/20/2024
For teens and adults. How can you imagine applying the principles of respect, responsibility, and relationship in your own family or community? Registration is required. Have a mediated conversation with fellow members of your community, in which we can explore the topic further and get to know one another better.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
Some see restorative justice as the answer to our current justice system, which can be adversarial, overly punitive, and encourage a denial of responsibility. Others would say punishment is a more effective deterrent to crime, and that incarceration keeps our communities safer.
*Times, dates, and prices of any activity posted to our calendars are subject to change. Please be sure to click through directly to the organization’s website to verify.
