Salutations of the Season: Twelfth Night - Schuyler Mansion State Historic Site

On Saturday, January 4, Schuyler Mansion State Historic Site will welcome visitors for its annual Twelfth Night Celebration, “Salutations of the Season!” From 4 pm to 7 pm, the site will host an open house filled with 18th century holiday fare, live music by Liaisons Plaisantes, bonfires (weather permitting!), period reenactors (including the 34th Regiment), and wassail toasts. This year’s Twelfth Night celebration will be the kickoff to Revolutionary War year commemorations. A special exhibit will explore British activities concerning the colonies in the years leading up to January 1775, as well as the challenge of hosting a celebration amidst boycotts on imported goods. Reenactors will incorporate these building tensions into their interpretations, from varying perspectives.
