Rockin’ Winter Break (Ages 7-10)
Have you ever wanted to be a rock star?
Beginner and Intermediate – LIMITED TO 15
8:30am drop off available, with 4pm pick-up
Location: Addy Theatre
Fee: $250
“Shred on an air guitar” and become a rock star while learning theatre games, movement, songs, scene work and vocal exercises with emphasis on confidence, creativity, and personal growth. This “rockin’” class will encourage students to use their imagination and have fun and “hit those air drums” and learn the fundamentals of acting, singing and dancing ending the week with an informal presentation for parents, families and friends. Triple Threat Musical Theatre Audition Workshop
For ages 13 to 18 – All Levels of experience
NO AUDITION REQUIRED – LIMITED TO 15 STUDENTS
Location: The Addy Dance Studio
Fee: Fee - $300 - 20% discount to SOPA previous students.
Gain confidence working with three of the region’s top theatre performance coaches, Maria Germain, Gregory Marsh and Steven Yuhasz in a 5 day intensive workshop that includes: resume review, ensemble work, private coaching and mock auditions. Informal showcase at the end of the week.
Voice – Preparation of an up-tempo and ballad for audition.
Dance – Classes in dance with a new dance audition.
Acting – Combing acting through song, the “personal” monologue, cold readings, scene work and monologues.
Financial aid and payment plan available to qualifying students by application.
(Enrollment in the class does not guarantee admission into any SOPA program which will require an additional audition, such as Broadway Camp.)
