Vernal Pool Exploration
*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 05/28/2022
Vernal pools are wetlands that fill with water from winter and spring rains, and usually, dry out by the end of summer. We will explore a vernal pond that serves as an important breeding site for many species, including the Yellow Spotted and Eastern Newts. Come try your hand at citizen science and discover why vernal pools are known to be the coral reefs of the northeastern forest. Appropriate for ages 5 and older. Call 518-872-0800 to register. There will be a $6 Vehicle entry fee
