Third Annual Princess Family Picnic

A Family Ticket (up to four family members) is $85 and includes:
- Interactions and Photo Ops with at least EIGHT magical characters! (Characters may vary from those pictured in advertising.)
- Live singing performances and sing-a-longs
- Dance lessons and story time
- Party favors for each child
- A cupcake for each guest (adults too!)
- Games, bubbles, and more
Additional children from the same household can be added for $7. Family is defined as adults who reside in a single household and their biological, adopted, foster, or step-children.
NEW THIS YEAR! Create your own family!!
We know families come in all shapes and sizes, and that sometimes "family" doesn't mean a blood relation. If you have only a family of three, feel free to invite a friend to join your ticket group. Only have two? We're ok with you pairing up with a friend to share a ticket. However, please be respectful and do not take advantage. We need to pay our event costs and stay within our event capacity. If your immediate family has 4 or more members, please DO NOT simply add on additional guests from another family.
Event Details:
WHERE: The event will take place in the Hailes Cave Picnic Pavilion at Thacher State Park in Voorheesville. NOTE: This is a DIFFERENT Pavilion than last summer! A map will be provided in the facebook event discussion. If you don’t have a NY State Park Pass, daily admittance to the park is $6 per vehicle. The park fee is NOT included in your ticket.
WHEN: The first session will run from 11:00-12:45. (Second Session from 1:15-3:00 will become available if the first session reaches 75% capacity.) Tickets are for one time slot only, though you may continue to enjoy other areas of the state park before or after your scheduled time! Since venue capacity is limited, we politely request that you do not buy tickets to both times. Performances and activities are identical for both sessions.
We encourage families to bring picnic blankets and folding chairs to allow for additional distancing.
Feel free to wear your favorite princess dress or adventure outfit! We recommend comfortable footwear for natural terrain.
Don’t forget sunblock and bug spray!
Additional FAQ:
- Please bring your own picnic to share among your immediate family! Remember to bring your own water/beverages as well. The only food included with this event will be individual cupcakes.
- Event will take place rain or shine, and at almost any temperature. Should we choose to cancel due to extreme weather, all tickets will be refunded. Announcements about this event will be made in the facebook event discussion. Please follow the facebook event to be kept up to date on event changes.
- Tickets are non-refundable. Contact us if you wish to transfer tickets to another party. You may choose to add Purchase Protection through the ticketing site.
- You may transfer tickets between timeslots so long as space is available.
- Take only photos, leave only footprints! Keep our state parks beautiful by removing your own litter and not picking plants or flowers.
- Please park only in marked parking spaces. Do not park on the grass.
- Please do not bring pets to the picnic.
