Bearded Dragon: Pogona barbata

From the arid woodlands and deserts of central Australia, the Bearded Dragon gets its name from its ability to flare out the skin in the throat region when it is threatened or territorial. A diurnal (day hunting) omnivore, it forages for pretty much anything from insects & small mammals to fruits & flowers.

Tarantula: Theraphosidae

From the southern United States to Australia & South America, these large creatures can be found in most of the southern hemisphere. As one of the worlds largest arachnids, they can range in size from 4.5 to 11 inches depending on location and species. Unlike many spiders, Tarantulas don’t primarily use their webs to catch prey, they ambush & use their venom to hunt everything from small insects to frogs and mice!

Ball Python: Python regius

Found in most of the southern hemisphere, Ball Pythons get their name from their natural defensive behaviors. When threatened, Ball Pythons tend to curl up into a ball with their head toward the center. Also called the “Royal Python”, ancient royalty wore them as living jewelry; showing off their beautiful patterns. In fact, no two python patterns are identical.
