*The event has already taken place on this date: Fri, 08/02/2019
Nature Study introduces elementary school children to nature through exploration of our forest trails and streams. We use their curiosity as our guide. Science-themed games and crafts reinforce the basic concepts of ecology and environmental science.

Grades K-2: July 8-12
Grades 3-5: July 15-19
Combined Grades K-5: July 29-August 2
Classes run from 1pm-4pm.

Held in week-long, half-day sessions, divided by age group (grades K-2 and grades 3-5), and one week of the combined age groups (K-5), Nature Study introduces elementary school children to nature through exploration. Students spend the week outdoors learning basic science, observing wildlife, taking nature walks, and participating in nature- and science-themed games and crafts. Students attending one of the first two Nature Study sessions are encouraged to also enroll in the combined K-5 class later in the summer. That class may also serve as a stand-alone class.
