Have you always wanted to learn Italian—or are you planning a trip to Italy and would like to feel more comfortable communicating while you're there?
Italian for Beginners – Part 1 is designed to help students build a practical foundation in the Italian language and gain the confidence to use it in everyday situations.
In this course, students will learn enough of the fundamentals of language comprehension and syntax to:
Understand common greetings and basic instructions
Read and understand signs and menus with greater ease
Interact socially with locals
Communicate while traveling and shopping
Navigate common situations while lodging in Italy
The course emphasizes reading comprehension, with verb conjugation limited to the present tense. Students will also explore aspects of Italian cooking, music, and traditional Italian customs, adding cultural experiences to their language learning.

The instructor brings extensive experience teaching Italian in the United States, as well as firsthand experience educating students while residing in Calabria, Italy.
Ages 16–Adults of All Ages
Students ages 13–15 may attend with a registered parent/guardian.
