INTRODUCTION TO GEOCACHING

INTRODUCTION TO GEOCACHING
This introductory class will be repeated on July 12, September 5, and November 1; you may register to attend more than one time if you wish. The instructor will provide some history of geocaching, explain the concepts involved, and give examples of items used in geocaching. Participants will then have an opportunity to use GPS to locate geocaches at Landis. Bring your portable GPS if you have one. Smart phones that have GPS turned on can be used (check to see if your carrier has good coverage in the Esperance area). Some portable GPS units will be available to rent; if you need to rent a unit, be sure to register early!
