I Love My Parks Day!

I Love My Park Day is an exciting annual event which celebrates and enhances New York’s parks and historic sites and bring visibility to the entire park system and its needs. Each year volunteers of all ages come together to lend a hand in support of local wonderful natural and historic resources! Registration is required and some park events fill up quickly, so don't delay!

Come join us at Golden Hill State Park in celebrating the fifth annual I Love My Park Day! I Love My Park Day is an exciting statewide event to improve and enhance New York's parks and historic sites and bring visibility to the entire park system and its needs. Various volunteer projects will be available to choose from.
Project 1: Place and secure picnic tables in scenic areas of the trails.
Project 2: Beautifying the Boat Launch Sign area. We will be adding mulch and other decorative items to the area.
Project 3: Clean up at the Countyline Rd. site.

Project: Spring clean-up of the park including raking, staining picnic tables, trail clearing, gardening, litter removal.

Come join us at Letchworth State Park in celebrating the fifth annual I Love My Park Day! I Love My Park Day is an exciting statewide event to improve and enhance New York's parks and historic sites and bring visibility to the entire park system and its needs.
Project 1: Raking Leaves, Litter clean up, staining benches at Wolf Creek, Great Bend overlook.
Project 2: Maintaining fall material of playgrounds on the south end of Letchworth park.
Project 3: Invasive plant removal
Project 4: We will have a group participating in stream bank erosion control by planting live stem dogwood branches. Please bring work gloves,knee high rubber boots/hip waders, and 5 gallon pails.
All ages are welcome. Volunteers should meet at the Tea Table/Eddy's parking lot and to wear long sleeves, long pants, and enclosed shoes.

Reinstein Woods: May 7, 10 am - 1 pm
Families, scout groups and other organizations are invited to help clean trails, remove invasive species and plant native plants as part of our annual trail stewardship day.
New this year: geocachers can explore for geocaches while also removing trash from Reinstein Woods at this Cache In Trash Out® event. For more information about geocaching, visit www.geocaching.com/cito/.
Pizza and refreshments provided. Students needing service hours are welcome.
All ages are welcome. It's recommended that volunteers bring garden gloves, water and loppers. If you are geocaching, bring a GPS or cell phone if you have one.

I Love My Park Day is an exciting statewide event to improve and enhance New York's parks and historic sites and bring visibility to the entire park system and its needs. Various volunteer projects will be available to choose from.
Project 1: Beach Clean up along Lake Ontario - 10:15am to 12pm
Project 2: Planting flowers, trees and shrubs throughout the park – 12:30pm to 2pm

Come show some love and volunteer at Whirlpool State Park on May 7th at I Love My Park Day! Help us with raking, pruning, collecting litter, and other park improvement projects.
