Thacher Park's Overlook is a prime spot for viewing a variety of fall-migrating raptors. Get up-close with live raptor demonstrations and ID help from expert birders. Participants can also enjoy crafts, face painting, accessible seated birding, informational tables from local outdoor organizations, food from Buena Comida & Gino's Italian Ice, and more! There's something for everyone from novice to experienced birder at this family-friendly event. This event is accessible to Nature Bus riders. Girl Scouts can reserve a special booklet and Hawk Watch badge to celebrate Girl Scouts Love State Parks Weekend. No registration required, but Girl Scouts are encouraged to call ahead to ensure there will be enough booklets and badges. Call 518-872-0800.
