Free Nature Journaling Workshop: Sketching the Sand Plains

During this hands-on program, participants will be introduced to the basics of nature journaling, a practice that uses words, pictures, and numbers to collect and organize observations, questions, connections, and explanations. Nature journaling can enrich time spent outdoors while encouraging observation, curiosity, gratitude, memory, and the skills of a naturalist. Participants will be provided with art supplies and guided on an easy nature walk through the Saratoga Sand Plains, where they will learn about topics such as botany, wildlife identification, environmental science, and local ecology.
