Floods - What to do…

with Mud Creek Environmental Learning Center

at Livington Town Hall

County Route 19, Livingston, NY 12541

Tuesday, July 25, 2019 – 7 pm

Join Columbia County Soil and Water Conservation District at the Livingston Town Hall on July 25th to learn about FLOODS - what to do before, during and after.  The effects of climate change, such as sea level rise and more extreme weather are increasing the risk of flooding, hurricanes and storm surges in coastal areas. This flooding can affect both coastal and inland communities - remember 2011 and Tropical Storm Irene!  Pamela Price, Certified Wildlife Biologist and Education Program Coordinator at Mud Creek Environmental Learning Center will talk about how you can prepare for flooding events and what to do both during and after a flood.  Please join us for this educational evening.

Columbia County Soil and Water Conservation District (www.ccswcd.org) provides educational programs and services to help residents and communities manage and protect the natural resources of Columbia County.  The district office offers technical assistance related to the conservation and proper management of soil and water resources as well as outdoor education and recreational opportunities through the Mud Creek Environmental Learning Center facility and programs.

**This event is FREE, however, REGISTRATION IS REQUESTED – please contact Pamela Price on Facebook, or by phone - 518-267-3313 or email - pamela.price@ccswcd.org
