Hands-on, project-based learning (PBL) STEAMwhiz labs and lessons that will empower students to discover, test, analyze, and create. Each day's STEM/STEAM curriculum has been designed with a spiral, scaffold approach to build upon the prior knowledge and concepts to develop a deep fundamental understanding. This fundamental learning will then be applied to the culminating “Show-What-You-Know” project: Robotics + Light.

Half-Day Sci-Tech FEBRUARY Break Boot Camp:

Full Week: Mon-Fri
9 AM-12 PM

Light It Up! Travel through the electromagnetic spectrum and explore the weird and awesome world of light one day at a time, through hands-on, inquiry-based learning labs. This is not your average science class– lasers, colored shadows, infra-slime, cyanotype art, coding, & robotics!

Day 1: Physics of Light

Day 2: Laser Reactions

Day 3: Infrared Light Slime

Day 4: Light Sensing Robots

Day 5: Coding Light Challenge

Hands-on, project-based learning (PBL) STEAMwhiz labs and lessons that will empower students to Explore Up, Skill Up, and Build-Up and become creative problem-solvers. Each day’s curriculum has been designed with a spiral, scaffold approach to build upon the prior knowledge and concepts to develop a deep fundamental understanding. This fundamental learning will then be applied to their awesome “Show-What-You-Know” project: ROBOTICS + LIGHT.
