Come to Columbia County Soil & Water Conservation District - Mud Creek Environmental Learning Center on October 5th, for a morning of birding led by Chris Franks of the Alan Devoe Bird Club!  Songbirds, shorebirds, raptors, and waterfowl will be making their way south from their breeding grounds around Mud Creek and points north to their wintering destinations in the southern U.S., Central, and South America.  Wilson's Snipe, Swamp Sparrow, and Killdeer have been seen at this site.

 

All skill levels are welcome to enjoy this fun family event!  A pair of binoculars is strongly encouraged, a limited number of binoculars will be available for participants who request them when they register.  The walk is rain or shine.

 

Columbia County Soil and Water Conservation District (www.ccswcd.org) provides educational programs and services to help residents and communities manage and protect the natural resources of Columbia County.
