Early Birding: A Birding Workshop for Kids! - Landis Arboretum
Kids will be introduced to proper binocular use, take a 30-45 minute birdwalk using technology (Merlin Bird ID app) and 'old school' field guides to identify birds, learn techniques and Pro Tips for finding and getting close to birds, and play a conservation/habitat game. Participants will receive a packet of birding trivia to take home. Maximum enrollment of ten children, ages 7 to 10 (second through fourth grade); a minimum of five enrollees required or the class will be cancelled.
