Troy Victorian Stroll
The Troy Victorian Stroll marks its 33rd year as the region's premier free holiday event. All afternoon— from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. —Troy's historic downtown will offer more than 100 free attractions, including the region's top performers, musicians, dancers, magicians and storytellers.
There will be rides, refreshments, a craft show and much more, set in the historic beauty of Victorian downtown Troy. Throughout the afternoon, Troy's fine shops, boutiques and galleries will be open for holiday shopping. If you're hungry, make sure to stop into many of Troy's best eateries or for a quick bite, visit our food court located at Monument Square.
Window Decorating Contest
The Window Decorating Contest remains a community favorite and has become a Stroll tradition. This year's theme is "Sweets & Treats" and fan-favorite voting will take place by liking the pictures on the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook page between December 1 -3. The winner will be announced on December 4, 2015
Available at the 33rd Annual Troy Victorian Stroll will be the seventeenth pewter Troy Victorian Stroll ornaments, designed by goldsmith John Bloom of Troy's JK Bloom Jewelers. FROM THE SOUTH:
Take I-87 (NYS Thruway) north to exit 23; take I-787 north to the “23rd Street / Green Island / Watervliet” exit 8; turn right at end of ramp; turn right and cross over Green Island Bridge into Troy; follow signs to parking left or right.
FROM THE NORTH:
Take I-87 (Northway) south to exit 7; NYS Route 7 east into Troy, cross over Collar City Bridge. Merge right on ramp for "Downtown Troy" onto Sixth Avenue. Follow Sixth Avenue (past four traffic lights). Turn right onto Congress Street and follow signs to parking.
FROM THE WEST:
Take I-90 (NYS Thruway) east to exit 24; I-87 (Northway) north to exit 7; follow NYS Route 7 east into Troy, over Collar City Bridge. Approaching the Troy side of the bridge, merge right on ramp for "Downtown Troy" onto Sixth Avenue. Follow Sixth Avenue (past four traffic lights) until Sixth Avenue meets Congress Street only permitting a right turn. Turn right onto Congress Street and follow signs to parking.
FROM THE EAST:
(Vermont via NYS Route 7) Follow NYS Route 7 into Troy. As you enter Troy from Brunswick traveling west on Route 7. Route 7 turns into Hoosick Street just past Wal-Mart. Continue west down Hoosick Street, following signs, traveling under the Collar City Bridge. At first light under the bridge, turn left onto Sixth Avenue. Follow Sixth Avenue (past four traffic lights) until Sixth Avenue meets Congress Street only permitting a right turn. Turn right onto Congress Street and follow signs to parking.

Parking is FREE in all City Lots, in the Troy Atrium Garage, on all city streets and NEW IN 2015 - on Russell Sage College Campus parking lots! Restrooms are available at Troy City Hall, RiverSpark Visitors Center, and Victorious Life Christian Church. Information tables are located at the Chamber Offices, Troy Atrium and Troy City Hall.
