Established in February, 2011, the Theatre Institute at Sage (TIS) provides quality live theatre and classes for Capital Region youth, educators and families. Programs feature productions, Saturday classes and full day camps for kids ages 6-17.

Some kids have a very lively and active imagination, some have an “inner actor” hidden deep inside, and others are just “born to the stage.” We offer classes for youth in a safe, supportive environment, allowing students to create and collaborate. Guided by a teaching artist, students are encouraged to hone their acting skills through a variety of fun activities and improv exercises. Get your kids started with a skill they will need for the rest of their lives. Kids who improvise become better at communicating, better at taking responsibility, better at creative thinking, while building confidence and focus. And the best part is improv is FUN!
