Jr. Naturalist Program at Dyken Pond
Jr. Naturalist programs will be held every Tuesday starting June 26 – August 28. All ages are welcome.
The programs are held from 1-3 pm and will have an activity fee of $1.00/child. Pre-registration is encouraged but not required.
July 17: Bats with Josh Pulito
Learn about these exciting and mysterious creatures!
July 24: Reptiles and Amphibians with Sam Dobin
Learn about and identify turtles, frogs and more in your neck of the woods!
July 31: Plaster Tracks with Josh Pulito
Learn how to find animal tracks and make an amazing keepsake!
August
August 7: Birding with Sam Dobin
Learn basic backyard birds and birding techniques. Learn how to use binoculars, what makes a bird a bird, and make a simple birdfeeder!
August 14 :Fishing with Josh Pulito
Learn how to cast, identify fish that inhabit the area and simple anatomy. Also learn easy knots and make fish print crafts.
August 21: Nature Games with Sam Dobin
Come play a variety of nature and animal themed games, then make a fun craft!
August 28: Tree I.D. with Josh Pulito
Learn to identify trees in our area and make a take-home tree I.D. book!
