Would You Like to Meet Some Honeybees?
The Arboretum now owns a few hives of honeybees! If you are interested in learning about the basics of their life cycle and their critical importance in our ecosystem, come and join us. Master Beekeeper Anne Frey will give a short presentation, then lead the group to inspect the hives, with plenty of opportunities for Q&A. If you own a veil, bring it with you; if you need to borrow a veil, please let us know when you register. Wear long pants and long sleeves. No age restrictions – children are welcome. Class limited to 8 participants.
Location: Landis Library (adjacent to the Greenhouse)
Instructor: Anne Frey, Master Beekeeper, and past-president of the Southern Adirondack Beekeepers Association
Members: $5/person, $15/family; non-members: $15/person, $25/family
