This will be the first in a series of beloved tales from Vietnamese folklore adapted for Western children by Vietnamese story teller Tran Thi Minh Phuoc.
Children and adults alike will be enchanted by the legends of bravery and beauty, fables about nature, and stories in which integrity, hard work and a kind heart triumph over deception, laziness and greed. Gods, peasants, kings and fools spring to life to celebrate Vietnam's rich cultural heritage, forging bonds with people around the world and bringing us all together in was that only great stories can.
Accompanying this story hour will be a paper quill craft in the tradition of Mai Vietnamese Handicrafts, one of Ten Thousand Villages' many proud Fair Trade partners since 1994.
