Story and Craft Hour: Free as a Bird, The Story of Malala

*The event has already taken place on this date: Tue, 11/27/2018
Free as a Bird is the inspiring true story of a fearless girl - the youngest-ever winner of the Nobel Peace Prize - and the father who taught her to soar.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

When Malala Yousafzai was born, people shook their heads because girls were considered bad luck. But her father looked into her eyes and knew she could do anything. In Pakistan, people said girls should not be educated. But Malala and her father were not afraid. She secretly went to school and spoke up for education in her country.

Join us as we follow Malala on her courageous journey to secure a life of education, dignity and equality for all. Following the story there will be a bird craft to help you spread Malala's message that everyone should be free as a bird!
