At this campfire chat, Perry will be telling Stories from Across Turtle Island, a new program filled with traditional stories that will take listeners on a storytelling journey across Turtle Island and introduce the audience to a wide range of Native American cultures in an entertaining and educational experience.
Storyteller Perry Ground brings the stories to life through vivid descriptions, his rhythmic voice, and a VERY active stage presence. These stories become ‘interactive’ as Perry is known to include audience members in the stories. Elements of the traditional Haudenosaunee lifestyle, pieces of historical information, and LOTS of humor are woven into each story. Discussion about the Haudenosaunee culture and the art of storytelling is also part of this program. Not just for children, all listeners (young and old), will find this presentation captivating, highly entertaining and very educational.
S’mores and cocoa will be served starting at 6:00 pm with the presentation beginning promptly at 6:30 pm.
