eeping with the Chabad tradition of creating incredibly fun and exciting holiday programs for the entire Jewish community, Bethlehem Chabad will be hosting its annual Purim celebration with this year’s theme being Purim At the County Fair on Thursday, March 5 beginning at 5:30 PM at 393 Delaware Avenue, Delmar, New York.
Along with the Megillah reading, this fun family event will have exciting activities for all ages including: Caricature Picture portraits by artist Mark Brennan - Mark is known for capturing and exaggerating one’s best features on paper and bring smiles to all! A live game show - Adults can show off their “smarts” by engaging in a round of competitive trivia led by professional Kevin Baker of Trivia Nights Live. At the event there will also be special guest stars from the Albany Kennel Club putting on an entertaining show with all of their tricks. There will also be special fair booths geared towards adult and children.
Come enjoy Carnival Food including Corn Dogs, Hot Pretzels, Blue Ribbon Pies, and popcorn (with the chance to create your own flavors). Vegetarian options will also be available.
"We focus on doing interesting and innovative holiday programs while still keeping with the holiday theme", said Rabbi Zalman Simon, "This party will combine ancient Jewish traditions with a county fair twist".
