Niska-Day | Kids Out and About Albany

WOW….37 YEARS and still going strong!!!!  It’s hard to believe this is the 37th year Niska-Day has been brought to the community by the Niskayuna Community Action Program (N-CAP). On May 19th, “Magic will be in the air” as we celebrate living, working and learning in Niskayuna!  Magicians will be on hand all day to entertain and amaze us with illusions of all types.  From the parade to the festivities at the Craig Elementary School grounds, the magic of Niska-Day will be felt.

The day will begin with a family fun run starting at Van Antwerp School, followed by our ever popular parade beginning at 10:00 AM from St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, reaching Niskayuna High School around 11:30 AM. At Craig School, there will be a food court, craft vendors, an information tent featuring local not-for-profit organizations, a business tent with our many sponsors and local businesses and games and rides for children.  Afternoon entertainment will include magicians, clowns, pony rides, a rock climbing wall, face painting, a petting zoo, caricatures, photo magnets, balloon animals and many other performers.  The evening concludes with a gigantic fireworks display at 9:15 pm.  The full schedule of events will be posted around May 1st.
