*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 05/19/2018
Spring is in the Air! Bring the kids or grandkids out to Schoharie Crossing for a nature program and exploration of the natural wonders of this rich historic site! We'll traverse the trail*, watching for birds and spotting wildflowers along the way! After the walk, enjoy a picnic lunch at the site and create new memories that will last a lifetime. We are excited to once again be part of National Park Trust's Kids to Parks Day! We will conduct a Nature Walk leaving the Visitor Center at 11am - *roundtrip approx. 90 minutes with interpretive staff. Schoharie Crossing State Historic Site is partnered with the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor (yes! we have a National Parks Stamp too!)

"I Love My Park Day is an exciting statewide event, organized by Parks & Trails New York (PTNY) in partnership with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) and local Friends groups, to celebrate and enhance New York’s parks and historic sites and bring visibility to the entire park system and its needs.

New Yorkers love their parks, as demonstrated by the thousands of volunteers who are willing to help maintain the beauty of New York’s treasured state parks and historic sites. Friends groups and volunteers are more important than ever to keep parks beautiful, clean, and welcoming for all to visit and enjoy." - www.ptny.org
