Help us transform Mater Christi into ‘Hogwarts’ and compete for the House and Quidditch Cups! Harry Potter Camp is an active book-based camp designed to foster creativity and develop team-building and problem-solving skills.
Each week, campers will be randomly Sorted into one of our original ‘houses’: Dragontail, Embredor, Equisyn, Firesong, Ironclaw, Lindenleaf, Wipplyn, and Wolfwind.
Our daily schedule starts with the Wizarding game of Quidditch, and campers are taught how to play our version each week. After Quidditch, we offer themed crafts and activities, or ‘classes’, such as Transfiguration, Herbology, Astronomy, and Defense Against the Dark Arts. Additionally, throughout the week, campers participate in teamwork exercises based on the storyline of the featured book.
Each week will focus on the plot of a specific Harry Potter book:
Week 1 (6/27 - 7/1) – Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
Week 2 (7/4 - 7/8 closed Monday) – Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Week 3 (7/11 - 7/15) – Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Week 4 (7/18 - 7/22) – Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire – featuring the Triwizard Tournament
Week 5 (7/25 - 7/29) – Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Week 6 (8/1 - 8/5) – Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Week 7 (8/8 - 8/12) – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – featuring the Battle of Hogwarts
**Prior knowledge of the Harry Potter books and/or and movies will prove advantageous for campers and is highly recommended. Limited to 75 campers per week.
