METAL EMBOSSING: 12/13/24
This month we are working on embossing! Embossing is a technique where you carve, mold, or stamp metal so that it stands out in relief. We will be looking at Bronze Age India where embossing gained popularity, as well as modern artists like Romero Britto and Ninette Kruger who use embossing in their art. We will be working with metal sheets and carving tools to play with the concepts of positive and negative space, relief, texture, and balance to create ornaments, jewelry charms, and more, perfect for any upcoming holidays!
