First Day Hike - Grafton Lakes State Park

Grafton Lakes State Park will offer 3 guided hikes all starting at 12 pm. Accessible Hike around the Story Book Trail: This .5 mile hike is great for families. The trail follows side walks and hard-packed gravel trail with no elevation. Moderate Hike around Shaver Pond: This 2.5 mile loop hike is moderately difficult with exposed rocks, roots and may have ice or snow depending on weather. We suggest having sturdy shoes, traction devices, water, and snacks for this trail. Difficult Hike to Dickinson Hill Fire Tower: This is a 3.5 mile out-and-back is rated difficult due to the longer trail with 500 feet of elevation gain. There can be exposed rocks, roots and may have ice or snow depending on weather. We suggest having sturdy shoes, traction devices, water, and snacks for this trail. Meet at the main park office.
