The Pruyn House is delighted to announce a Fairy House / Gnome Home / Mini-World competition! Have you always wanted to build a Fairy House or a Gnome Home? How about your own Mini-World for your favorite toys? If you have, Pruyn House, 207 Old Niskayuna Road, Latham NY 12110 is having a Summer Contest!!! This contest is open to all – children, families, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, local artists – all are invited!
Spend the summer designing your Fairy House, Gnome Home or Mini-World. The only requirement is that it be weather-proof as it will be outside. It can be vertical, horizontal, or hanging. Use your imagination!
Bring your house to the Pruyn House on Wednesday, August 14th at 7:00 pm. Our panel of judges will vote for their favorites! There will be prizes and ice cream!!! We will then find just the right spot for your House to spend the summer here.

The mission of the Friends of Pruyn House, a not-for-profit organization in partnership with the Town of Colonie, serving as the educational, historic and cultural center of the Town of Colonie, is to restore, conserve and preserve the Pruyn House Complex. It is the site for a wide variety of public, private, civic and corporate events throughout the year.
