Learn how to shoot various nature photography from the best in the business, with Gore as the backdrop.  Carl Heilman has been photographing the Adirondacks since the mid-'70s and began leading photography workshops in the mid-'90s.  Explore fall foliage techniques, landscapes, wildflower photos, moving water, and more.  Includes lunch, a scenic skyride, and instruction.

Our Comprehensive Gore Mountain Photo Workshop for beginner to intermediate photographers features instruction on many facets of photography including - camera basics, photography principles, digital camera features and menus, lenses, RAW files, exposure, HDR, depth of field, motion, composition, lighting.  The class begins with and builds on the most basic camera principles to help a person gain complete control over every shot they take.  The key to taking better photos is knowing how to take the shot you want, rather than wondering how you managed to get a nice photo!

Enjoy some great opportunities for photographing mountain landscapes and wildflowers, as well as streams and cascades.  While the class is geared toward DSLRs with interchangeable lenses, many of the techniques can be applied to full featured point and shoot cameras as well.  Just bring along your photo gear and enthusiasm for extending your photographic possibilities and experimenting with new photo techniques.  The 8 hour day features about 4-5 hours of instruction using a detailed PowerPoint, including time for working with the cameras and Q & A - plus a scenic skyride on the Adirondack Express II chairlift and time to experiment with the camera techniques and photography principles in the field.
