Art Lab: Magazine Resist Printmaking

Free and open to the public.

Visitors will create prints using a magazine resist technique with a gel printing plate based on the work of Wendy White. White is an exhibiting artist in 'ACE; art on sports, promise, and selfhood'.

Art Lab is a Saturday afternoon program that offers free hands-on, interactive art projects to students, community members, artists, and non-artists of all ages. Part of the Museum’s commitment to engaging diverse audiences in all its exhibitions and public programs, the Art Lab series is designed to coincide with exhibitions on view at the Museum.

Art Lab’s instructor Christine Snyder is an artist living and working in Albany, New York. She received an M.F.A. at UAlbany (2016) and a B.F.A. in printmaking and photography from the College of Saint Rose (2013). Art Lab is supported by The University at Albany Foundation.

Museum Hours: Tuesday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Wednesday - Friday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Saturday noon - 4 p.m.
