Winter Break Camp Days at the Elwood Museum

*OUR CAMP DAYS ARE NOW FREE OF CHARGE* -All supplies are included in the camp days. -Parents are welcome to stay with any child at no extra charge and are encouraged with children under age. -Best suited for children ages 5-12 yrs old.

Portrait Painting just like a President would have done. Let’s look at the Presidential Portraits in our collections and try our artistic hand at painting one of our own.

How did Lincoln and Grant communicate with one another? They wrote letters with pen & ink. Let’s try writing with a quill and ink. How Presidential!

Which Presidents had electricity in the White House? Lighting is important to be a president. Lets study the invention of electricity and light by Edison and look at a few of Edison’s inventions. Then we will make a luminary to take home to light up!
